Referral Information for GPs and Referring Clinicians
Gilmour Street Specialists accepts GP referrals for respiratory medicine and endocrinology at our private rooms at 150 Gilmour Street, Kelso. Below is everything you need to refer a patient, reach the practice, and understand what your patient can expect from their consultation.
What to include in your referral
For respiratory referrals: Please include the reason for referral and presenting symptoms, smoking history, occupational history where relevant, recent spirometry or lung function results if available, chest X-ray or CT imaging reports, and a current medication list.
For endocrinology referrals: Please include the reason for referral and relevant history, recent blood results (HbA1c, thyroid function, relevant hormone levels), any imaging reports (DEXA, thyroid ultrasound, adrenal imaging), current medications, and glucose monitoring data for diabetes referrals where available.

After the consultation
A letter will be sent to the referring doctor following each consultation. For urgent clinical matters regarding a patient already under the care of the practice, please call (02) 6330 4600 during consulting hours.
